After every big storm in North Holland we get more calls than usual. Tiles blown off, a gutter overflowing, lead that has come loose. We come as quickly as we can, and seal it first.
In an emergency we first make sure no more water gets in, with new tiles, a tarpaulin or a temporary seal. As soon as it's dry, we come back for the permanent repair.
Storm damage is covered by most buildings insurance policies. We photograph the damage, before and after, and write a short report you can forward straight away.
Better not. Wet tiles are slippery, and in wind a ladder against the wall is dangerous. Put a bucket down and leave it to us.
