A tiled roof lasts fifty to sixty years, the membrane and battens underneath often less. If your roof is sagging, tiles are broken or the attic is cold and damp, renovating is usually smarter than repairing again and again.
We remove the tiles and old battens, check the roof boarding and lay insulation boards with a vapour control layer. On top go new counter battens, tile battens and tiles. We deal with the lead, gutters and ridge tiles at the same time.
For an average semi-detached house, two to three weeks, depending on the weather. You can stay living at home. If the roof is still open at the end of the day, we cover it with tarpaulin.
